What You'll Need

Fork, whisk or stick blender

Towel

Blow Dryer/ Heating Cap
Making the Treatment
Mix up a batch of our DIY Strengthening Treatment. Mix in 1/4 to 1/3 of a tube of your dye colour until fully combined.
How to Use
Add treatment to dry locs in sections from tips to roots, ensuring locs are fully coated.
Cover locs in a plastic cap/bag
Method 1 - Heating Cap
Sit under a heating cap for 5-10 minutes on low to medium heat.
Keep covered for a further 30 minutes before removing the towel and the plastic cap/bag.
Allow locs to cool completely.
Proceed to shampoo locs as normal.
Method 2 - Towel with Blow Dryer
Wrap a towel over the plastic cap.
Use the blow dryer on medium heat to warm the towel for approximately 5-10 minutes.
Keep covered for a further 30 minutes before removing the towel and the plastic cap/bag.
Allow locs to cool completely.
Proceed to shampoo locs as normal.
Method 3 - Towel with Natural Head Heat
Wrap a towel over the plastic cap/bag.
Leave on for an hour to allow the natural heat from your scalp to warm up the treatment.
Remove the towel and allow locs to cool.
Remove the plastic cap/bag and allow locs to cool completely.
Proceed to shampoo locs as normal.
When to Use
From 1 year onwards when locs have settled, due to the oil in the treatment.
How Often
Every 3 months or whenever your dye looks faded.
